Excuse me the off topic; When I got the Hempel 50% cub it was shipped directly from China to Oslo by boat, shipping price was $340. The cub also came in a rather big box.

Snap....on the edge...I mean Extra! That looks NICE!!

What about two 2s2p A123-2300's. That would give you 9200 capacity. When first flying do your say 10 minute flight and recharge to see what it is actually using and go from there. The A123's are capable of just over 60 amps output.

Here is a whole bunch of A123's in a drag bike. I think I read they actually pre-heat the batteries to get more juice than normal on this rig. These batteries are making it into general aviation and even the auto industry. Gotta love that Nano Technology.

Another thought, keep a spare set and put your batteries on a velcro release. Fresh in and fly while you recharge at the trailer...Just a thought.

Hey Tikka, have you ever run your ignition off of those LIPO's before?

I think the speed controller was a Zilla2K. 2,000 amp capacity and if I remember correctly they were running 1700-1900 amps on the bike. That bike has 1200 A123's in it and they say the equivalent in energy used in a run is like 2 oz of petrol. Recharge in 4 minutes. Does 0-60 in .97 (less than a second) on about 500 hp. Cool stuff.

Hey Snap, forgot to thank you for the last set of wings. Look forward to seeing you and this Monster at the Nall.

BTW,
Elie it seems that your better half is pretty understanding of your hobby. So if I pm you my number, can you have your wife call my wife to talk her into letting me get a 60%er? Because when I told my wife I wanted one she told me to go somewhere.

Shawn
