Would installing a carbon fiber control rod for the throttle create interference? I currently have the Sullivan Goldenrod installed. Im looking to put something in a little more rigid and I have some carbon fiber leftover after i installed the same stuff on the other control surfaces. Ive heard that a metal one will create some type of interference. |

I've used carbon fiber rods on two of my planes for the throttle. As long as you don't have any CF to metal contact you should be cool. I epoxied a bit of 4/40 rod onto the end of the CF rod, and then used a rocket city ball link to attach it to the throttle arm.. since the end is plastic it works out fine.

Central Hobbies offers carbon push rod kits that are uber bad ass. I used them on all of my throttles without issues.
