Talking Carden Cap 232 Wing Build Thread!!!!

Hey guys how are yall doing today. I am going to start this thread and hopefully add some pictues by this weekend. Recently I acquired a brand new Carden Cap that was built perfectly. There were some things done to the wings by the past owner that I just dont think will hold up to the type of flying I do and will be doing with this Cap. I'm not going into specifics about them to keep from bashing the past owner. So I will make this a Carden Wing Build thread. I will be adding pictures to this thread as my builder gets them to me. His name is John Monahan. He is a top notch professional builder that builds with really good rates. His building is second to none and is also a recommended Aeorotech builder. His shop is in Opelika, AL inside a Hobby Shop, and does work for folks all over the world. If anyone is close to him or needs something built by him let me know and I can get you his numbers. He does crate up and ship his builds if you live out of town from him.

Anxious to see how it turns out. Are you doing foam sheeted wings, or built-up ???

His last name is spelled Monaghan and here are a few pics of his current project. His work is amazing and he is working on several new projects that will be even better than this FW-190!

I know it sounded like a stupid question...but i heard dennis was rather diffcult to deal with if you were not the original purchaser and you were looking for just parts.

Great thread, My pop was telling me about this guy the other day... Thanks for sharing. Keep the pics coming!

As far as Carden goes, I had an old busted up Carden Extra I got from a guy and one of the things I needed was a new canopy. I called up Carden and were very helpful with providing me the part I needed (Even gave me a free hat!). In fact they said if I needed any info at all they would be more than happy to help out.

There's a guy I met this past year stationed down at Moody AFB that had busted up his 40% Carden Edge, he was going to write it off and just buy a new kit, he told me Dennis talked him into just replacing the busted parts and he rebuilt it instead!

Great Folks...
