With the pricing, I wonder if I shouldn't just wait and see if they come out with a 9-10 channel Spektrum transmitter.

$299 is $50 less than a DX-7 complete system. Sure, I get to use my current transmitter - but this is making my current 9C a $600+ transmitter.

I won't be throwing away my R5014DPS receivers just yet, but I'll definitely be holding off on any further purchases of receivers until we see how the market shakes out on this..

FG rocks when it comes to gettin' the low down on what's happening in the industry!

The two ports are "BATT/BIND" and "DATA". They are used for binding, data and/or redundant power.

If two power sources are used they must be the same chemistry and # cells.

Yes, the Futaba module will fit the Optic 6. And we have tested this configuration.

So the AR9000 doesn't use 2 receivers like the 7000?

The AR9000 has 2 internal receivers and can have 2 additional external receivers. Only 1 is required.

The external receivers improve path diversity as well as redundancy.

1) Is the interface from the transmitter the PPM signal?

2) The Futaba module says DM8 so I assume, 8 channels and not 9 for the 9C.
a) If I send the futaba module 9 PPM signals will the AR9000 accomodate them?

3) Is the JR interface PPM?

I may have other questions later.

Thanks,

Dan Thompson
1) Yes, PPM
2) Correct, 8 Channels for the 9C.
a) yes
3) Yes, PPM

When? When? When?

Looks like Jim Drew has missed the Boat!

Timing is everything!

I can't wait for the Futaba 9 C module and of course the 9 channel (or 8) receiver!

Yea Baby!!

Going to have to wait for prices. Too much. My 9c is already 3 years old so I might just wait for a 9-10 radio come out with it already in it. Hoping for Futaba to do something

Was wondering how Joe Nall this year will be with Spektrum???

Where is the link to the info??

PPM Latency....is this transferred?

Do you get 1 dongle reciever with the AR9000 or do you have to buy it?

Is a DX9 9303 style radio in the works?

Again....a link to any official info would be appreciated.

Ok, I am confused due to the marketing of the DX-7. With the DX-7's receiver, we were told that to get the correct receiver signal coverage there was a need for 2 receivers - mounted within 2 inches of each other with the antenna 90 degrees from each other. We were told that was the best way to get this system to work for the range in larger aircraft.

Now, we are told 1 receiver is all thats needed - no seperate receiver mounted 2 inches away but CAN be done.

Did we come full circle from the AR 6000 to the AR 7000 to the AR 9000?
