Hey I hear ya! When it gets where it isn't any fun anymore, and most everyone is stressed and the whole thing is stressful...I don't blame you! Life is WAY too short to keep doing something like that with these results!

I must applaud you guys for making a decision to getting back to the basics and making it the way it supposed to be. FUN! and NON STRESSFUL!

Hopefully someone else will step up to the plate, and bring a TOC caliber event to the east cost area. It's sad to see the Masters gone, but I hope this trend doesn't continue. All the practice we put forth is to someday compete at a top quality event. Maybe some of the east coast companies can come together, and get the money and support lined up to get a quality TOC type contest going. Scott

Well definitely sad news, an event of the same caliber is needed for sure, who's going to do it? Any recommendations or ideas?

Its a sad Day to hear this, We have enjoyed our time at the DLM, meeting new people supporting the pilots and getting over the stress of compitition. What a rush!!!

Contest like this can not be supported by one individual or company. The cost in time, money and manpower is extreme. IF YOU WANT TO SEE OR PARTICAPATE IN VENUES LIKE THE DLM or TUS. It is going to require the contributions of the WHOLE R/C community.

Don't put this on the backs of the industry. The industry will contribute its fair share but as my marketing instructor once said " THERE AIN'T NO SUCH THING AS A FREE LUNCH"!!!!!!! These events require the support of all involved in the hobby.

These events are where we see the newest manuver, the latest in techonolgy, the newest fade and best for all to have. It's time for the everyone to show there support and not just expect a "FREE LUNCH"

THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT TIMES!!!!!!

I am sorry to hear that the DLM has ended. I went to the TOC years ago. I got out of the hobby for a little while and it was gone. I get involved again and found out about the DLM and was looking forward to attending. Business kept me away from the last event. I do understand why things like this happen. I applaud all involved for the past successes and the commitment to continue the Youth Masters.

One thing I would suggest is that any person or group that has or thinks about a venue like this should use all tools available. What I am thinking about is using the power of the internet to rally troops and support. There is a heck of a community out there and leveraging the power of that group could create grand things.

Man I hate to hear that Biff. I had the previlege to fly in the event in '97 and '99. Great contest!!!! Couldn't have asked for a better group of people to put that kind of event on. The event will be missed by all.
