Perhaps. .NOW. . IMAC can concentrate on getting the NATIONALS geared up as the replacement for TOC and DLM. Here's is the chance for IMAC to step up, reach out, improve, grow, and bring about the finest GS aerobatics competition in the world. I'd like to FORMALLY petition the IMAC BOD to consider this step forward for the SIG, by adding an "Invitational class" to the Nationals within a 2 year time frame, per the example of the TAS. This would be the "money class" to which all aspiring IMAC pilots could look as the final goal for their flying and practice, and would be invitation only from a select group of top pilots from around the world. I was very saddened by the demise of the TOC. The JR CHallenge has disappeared, Now the Don Lowe Masters is a thing of the past. All things change, and we can;t hold onto what we have already lost. It's time to look forward, and onward, and make the most of this OPPORTUNITY for the hobby. So, what say you IMAC BOD??

Hi everybody, here is Marco Benincasa from Italy. I'm really sad to read this news, as partecipating to the DLM is been one of the best time of my modelling life. Having the privilege to be invited and allowed to fly in the best place of the world for model aircraft (I can say that, I flown all over the world, japan and south africa included), it's been really a dream. I was yet thinking about the 2008 edition, hoping to be invited again. I can only hope that maybe one day something will change, and all the crew will have (even) more support form the industry and from other sponsors, permitting to start the DLM again. It's a pity that such a wonderful event, organized by the best group of persons I ever met in one single event, will be stopped. I want to thank everybody who made it happen, from Pat to all the rest of the crew, like Carol, and obvioulsy my "one and only", the one who started "Team one", the great Bob Sadler. I want also to thank again Al&Kevin Young of JTEC for letting me flying their great 40% Extra, Desert Aircraft for the marvellous 150 and obviously Futaba America for the servos and receivers and the friendship of Frank Noll. This year I'm invited to the TOP GUN in Florida, that's shortly before the Nall; I can't remain in USA for too many weeks and coming to the 'Nall, but I'm sure in the future I'll be again stepping the marvellous Triple Tree grass for this event having even more fun with all my friends. Happy flying to all Marco |

Hello, Im sure the decision was a Tuff one for the crew at Triple Tree. As a small manufacturer in this industry it's not easy at times to choose how to spend you marketing dollars. That event had private individuals provide the bulk of the money for the event. They all should be commended for thier efforts and service. Sie note: Biff Id better have your Python to fly at Joe Nall. Take Care John www.aerotech-rcmodels.com |

| Hi Guys, I just wanted to say thanks for the memories and chance to fly with the best. I have always appreciated all the hard work the CAF has put into the DLM and their attempts to let anyone qualified have the chance to compete at a world class event. I’ll miss the DLM, but I can not wait to hang out with all my friends I’ve made at DLM, just at other events. I’d like to share some of my memories: -It seemed like a Hurricane was always on it’s way to NC around the DLM making me late -I got to see a relatively unknown at the time Jason Noll kick butt at one of his first big events and then watch Jason Schulman, Frank Noll, Peter Goldsmith and QQ take home the gold -I got to see Warren Thomas do and survive one of the lowest knife edge cross snaps ever seen - I was there when Rasom Fairchild proposed during his freestyle -While at the BBQ I got to see the first planes fly over Mr. Pat’s house to land at GSP once planes started flying again after 9/11. Really cool memories, Thanks guys and see ya at the NallJ |

The Joe Nall is not going anywhere! In fact we're more amped about everything we do at Triple Tree. The decision was a real bear to make, but the bottom line is we needed to concentrate our efforts on what we do best,HAVE FUN!!!

Wow, I am not sure what to say about hearing this today. Thanks so much for the effort and work by everyone over the many years of very hard work to have made this happen. We all are better off from the efforts put into the DLM and the sweat of all those who were there in front and behind the scenes. Hopefully something will develop to substitute the DLM, but nothing will replace it Thanks very much! Will B P.S. I don't have as many memories as you do since I was only there twice, but mine are just as fond.
