Its really sad news to have a contest like this fade away. I never got to attend the masters, but it was something i have strived to one day compete in. I hope someone somewhere steps in and presents a contest as high class as the masters to give all us hopefulls something to dream about.

One thing is for sure. There should be some sort of privately held tournament that will decide the best overall aerobatic (pattern/freestyle) pilot in the world!!

Bummer.

Thanks to everyone that helped with this event in the past. Luckily, my son Matt and I were able to attend the last DLM. I had a good time, but my son had an EXTREME time there. He was a scribe for Dick Smith for part of a day, and then called for Beavis during his last freestyle round. He will never, ever, forget that.

I really applaud Pat Hartness for hosting this event. I'm especially pleased that he was moving towards making the event a quiet one, by mandating quiet planes. This is the type of encouragement that manufacturers need. I only hope that some other venue picks up this ball and carries it onward.

I am very pleased that the Youth Masters will continue. Matt had just been flying for a few months when he entered the YM last year, and he had a wonderful time. We will most certainly be back this year (and with a better foamie for the informal freestyle event!!!).

Now that I think of it, Matt and I have been to three events at TT in the last year: Joe Nall, the Youth Masters, and the Don Lowe Masters. Everytime was awesome. We have always left there with memories that will last, and with new friendships formed.

there won't be any money. but when you die...on your deathbed...you will receive total conciousness. So I got THAT going for me.

I kind of feel like that's how this is going!

I just want to thank everybody that put on the events, I went to joe nall last year and then to the masters, it really changed my life. My dream was to one day be one of the pilots in the masters. Its sad that it has ended but its a good thing that more attention is to be giving to our youth and having fun. Thats what life is about. Thanks to everybody at triple tree!!!!

Hallo to all aerobatics modeller !

The hear from the end of the DLM was no good news !

Competitons like the TOC have developed the aerobatic szene to a very high level. Without TOC we did not have this hight standard with engines, radios, modells and figures.

After the end of the TOC 2002 their was the DLM and the Shootout in USA. Both competitions are no TOC; the TOC was something special, but DLM and TAS were/are very very big competions to develope aerobatic and we must thank all this persons for their work.

We in Germany invent the German Acro Masters (www.acromasters.com) and we have a lot of contact to D. Jonson from DA to make the TAS and our competition better and better.

I can tell you that it is a very hard work to organise such an event.

So we from the German Acro Masters Team are very sad to hear from the end of the DLM, because this is not good for aerobatics and all the pilots.

Hope we will get a new competition like the DLM very quickly back !!

See you all in Tucson !

Best Regards

Peter Wessels
