Going by the pictures above the price will be $1000-1250. But I know here in Japan you can knock 20% off that price. These radios come with servos also.

If the 12Z, 14MZ, and 12FG are all going to come with interchangeable modules, I wonder if they will start selling the 12Z and 14MZ with your choice of modules? Jim |

Hi! Numerous times I read about "PCM being faster than PPM". At my current understanding, this is not possible. I checked the time between the PPM pulse of channel one going to the module and coming out of the servo plug at the reciever. I doubt anyone can show us a system with less than 0,1ms of latency time. PCM will always be slower, as more computing is involved. Therefore I do not see a reason why any transmitter should be able to get the complete PCM signal to the module plug in a shorter time than the PPM pulse, as this would be the only way to overcome the additional latency that lies in the nature of PCM. Cheers, Julez |

The only bad thing is that you lose your ability to set failsafe from Tx. Futaba could however insert some non-PPM frame into the stream from their Windows based Txs that would transfer the failsafe info Tx->module->Rx. P.S. Airtronics has the fastest PCM, coming very close to PPM in latency. It has been that way for last 10 years, but nobody really cared all along ...
