Hi! Something seems to be odd with Futabas claim of Fasst "shifting the frequency every 2ms". I elaborated on details here. Cheers, Julez |

Weeeelll.... Here we go again... Just days ago a Team Futaba pilot was quoted he couldn't wait to get his Faast 14MZ setup.. When I read this my first thoughts were.. If this guys a factory rep and he doesn't have the goods get ready for another pushback... I jumped on to towers website for my daily backorder check... Ehhhem... "Late October"

Flying season will pretty much wrap up in the next 45 days or so up here in Columbus, OH so this delay doesn't bother me much. I'm more concerned that they do this system right before they push something out to market just to say it's out there.

yup....i feel the same way....it'll get here when it gets here....too late in the season to use it much anyway. I still plan on picking one up as soon as they're released and testing it out all winter on foam...that way hopefully i'm confident enough to use it in a big bird come spring...

Oh MY GAWWWDD!!! I have been on 72 Mhz for 34 years and if I don't get 2.4 in the next week... I WILL DIE!!!! LOL... J/K guys... if 2.4 Ghz is what our future holds... even a 6 month delay would be rather insignificant... in the LOOOOOOOOOONG run anyway. |

I did pick up a TM-7 module and receiver the other day. I'm looking forward to installing it and trying it out. Bob R.

I have two planes waiting on receivers. One at a builder in construction and one in my shop READY..Kinda sucks to look at a plane for weeks on end only needing a receiver

. . I'm sure Futaba is trying to clear out some inventory before they shoot their 72Mhz sales in the foot with the new 2.4Ghz stuff. . . . . That is also my suspicion as to why Futaba is the last player in the 2.4 game. . . and also that they knew we would wait for them. . . .

The 9303 with a 9 channel reciever at 2048 resolution and the security of 2.4 sure seems like a nice option right about now. That's why I'm hoping Futaba gets the modules right for the 12 and 14 series. I'm a little disappointed that they chose to give the 2048 option only to the 12 channel receiver as for many that gets a little expensive and not many people need that many channels. While the resolution numbers for Futaba are good, I'm also concerned about the transmission latency of these new modules. Sure would hate to have it be slower than what we are currently accustomed to in PCM.

. . According to BAX over on RCU, the 2.4 modules give the radio the same speed and resolution as PPM mode in 72 Mhz. . .
