The flying season is all but over here anyway...time to start thinkin indoors and I got a 6ch 2.4 for that.

Honestly, is anyone really surprised by this news? I mean, when you are not even seeing units in the team pilots hands, you have to know it's still a ways off. Futaba CLEARLY was caught with their pants down when it came to the Spektrum DX7 release and now the subsequent release of the 9303 systems with 2.4 technology.

With that said, I'm still waiting patiently for the 2.4 stuff from Futaba as I really do like my 12Z radio. Nothing wrong with 72mhz stuff (still using it without any glitches thus far), but I sure would like a little more peace of mind that comes with knowing that somebody won't be shooting me down by turning on their 72mhz unit on the same channel I'm on.

I agree, Kinger. I've got the 2.4g 7ch module for my older radios, and a couple of the 6EX radios already. With others switching to 2.4g, I have hardly had to wait for a frequency pin with my 72 mhz radio. At the recent Fly-for-Tots flyin, we had to wait ONCE, and that was with 200 registered pilots.

I'm actually thinking of getting the 12FG now since it comes with the 72 mhz synthesized module (can fly ALL my exiting stuff) and then get the 14ch FASST module when it becomes available. I don't think they sell the 72 mhz module separately.

I like the Futaba modules since they simply plug in, no cable and separate antenna to worry about. That is how I am using my 7ch module now. IMHO, this is a better option for the Futaba radios.

Does anyone know the actual answer to this question:

"If I plug a TM14 module into my 12Z, will it use the 2048 resolution. I see the 6014 rcvr is capable 2048 and that the 12FG 2.4 apparently operates at 2048, but is a 12Z with TM14 sending 2048 or not?"

Please, no guesses or conjecture. I have been trying to find out the actual answer to this question but can't seem to get the solid facts.

Hi, Shannah-

No conjecture...here's the facts for you: When using the TM-14 with the R6014FS receiver, you will indeed be taking advantage of the 2048 resolution.
