A retrofit would be the way to go for most pilots on a budget. Comon JR you know you want to do it.

The big test will be. . .which will be the first major manufacturer (JR or Futaba) to STOP offering 72 mhz at all? Just totally ditch 72 mhz of any sort and convert their entire line over to 2.4 ghz? JR/Spektrum has the lead with the 6 and 7 channel Spektrum technology cross-compatible now. All they need to do is make the prices proper. Now THAT would be the final solution for RC radio gear and shoot downs. . period!!!
