Thanks to Lucienand Scorpion for stepping up!!! Not to worry, Troy, there's no way Tiny was going to make the rounds with no drama. I'm glad it happened on your watch so you could take care if it with the help of your contacts. We'll patiently wait for the report!!

Sounds like an older model PHX 25 single FET failure. It sometimes happened on the pre 3A BEC models. If you run into any problems getting the stuff from Scorpion I can have you another ESC in about 2 days. Thanks Lucien and Scorpion for pulling through so fast! This has been one hell of a modeling effort along the way.

Thanks for the kind words everyone! When Troy told me about the project, and asked if I could help out, I could not say no! I will be meeting up with Troy first thing tomorrow morning and providing him with a Scorpion 2208-30 motor, a Scorpion 25 Amp ESC, a pair of X-Caliber 20C 1000mah 3-cell Li-Po batteries, an X-Caliber 800ma 2-3 cell balancing charger, a universal 12 volt AC adapter for the charger, a half dozen 8x4 props, and a few Scorpion Logo stickers to complete the package. Tiny will be back up and running tomorrow, and I may get the opportunity to meet up with Troy on Sunday and get a little stick time with Tiny myself! Here is a photo of all the stuff that Innov8tive Designs and Scorpion is providing. This is a very cool project, and I am glad that I was able to help keep Tiny flying and on the way to it's round the US trip. Lucien came over to the Pad today and he brought the goodies. Everything will be a bolt-in so no mods needed. I just need to add a couple connectors to the Lipos and maybe trim some wire on the Rx plug going to the esc. Serious hats off to Scorpion because I really just asked if he could help with an esc or motor/esc combo. When he showed up with a BOX full of stuff I was overjoyed. Now Tiny has a safe balancing charger and the AC adapter to run off of the wall plug if no 12V battery is handy. I will keep the other motor in Tiny's tool box and we can see about the burnt esc. I will be meeting Lucien out at the local field tomorrow and we'll see how the new system flies. Tonight Tiny is hanging out and watching some UFC with friends. |

Lucien, Thanks for goodies. I have been looking at your motors for the past few weeks at gobrushless they look sweet and the build your own is a great deal. Looking foward to seeing one run. Lucien keeping the dream alive. |

| Weekend With Tiny Tiny is back up and running. I flew today after waiting out our unexpected thunderstorms till later in the day. I didn't get to fly in the spots I wanted to because of weather but I was just happy to see Tiny healthy and flying again. The new motor combo works great and has power to spare. I don't have any in flight pics yet but I have a bit of video I need to upload and edit. Tiny flies pretty decent but is a little on the heavier side with the 1000mAh battery. The original battery is about 1/2 oz. lighter. The system only pulls about 7.5 amps static so it makes for some long flights if you wish. There weren't any CG marks so once I got it trimmed and flying well I made a couple of reference marks. If it's tail heavy it'll let you know with tucking at speed and over all pitch sensitivity. Tiny does some wicked fast torque rolls when you get him locked in and the short coupled rudder really makes for some interesting tumbles. Tiny is fairly docile if just flown 'right side up'. I repackaged the extra goodies from Scorpion in the tool box and the new charger is carefully packed between some of the white foam and locked in with some spongy gray foam. The batteries are charged but the Tx should get a bump from the wall charger. All instructions for the new equipment are packed in there but there is no need to adjust from what I can see. I am really honored to have been able to participate in this project. My wife got a kick out of this and my daughter, too (she was laughing and giggling in the background at the flying field). Thanks for the opportunity and the support when it looked bad. Good luck on your journey Tiny!! We'll miss you in California...
