How many robart hinges does it Have?

WOW,I am impressed.I was wondering whether it might be possible to get a 3 view of this beast so i can make a copy of it for Realflight G3.5.Also i would need some specs so as to make the G3.5 version as close to the real one as possible.Any help would be greatly appreciated and i would be honoured to make such an iconic bird for the FG crew.Thanks for any help that can be offered.I have made a version of Bill Hempels 52% Weeks Solution and think the FG 70% Staudacher is the logical next step.

It has been a long time ago but I think I installed around 115 Robart hinges, just not sure anymore.

Perhaps this was answered in the previous treads but I will ask anyway....

How are you getting past the AMA absolute weight limit of 100 pounds? Is it even an issue?

How about the FAA? I know anything over 254 pounds is considered a "real" airplane vs non liscensed ultra light. Maybe this doesn't come into consideration if there is no pilot in the actual aircraft. But if that were the case.......what prevents someone from putting some servos in a 707 and puttering around with it? (I know, I know........how realistic is that.....but hey, if I were a kazillionare.........it would be interesting to contemplate!)

Anyway......probably one of the coolest projects I've seen in a long time! Certainly not bashing, just wondering out loud what the "Authorities" might think.

it might not be the best advice but i follow the it is easier to get forgiveness than permision. like i said it might not be the best for this situation.

Mr. Bravo, this was touched on and answered in a previous thread. The people who are engaging in this surely understand better than you and I all of the mechanics of the deal. Our reason in posting this is to bring news of this back to our community about something exciting that's going on in the hobby. And we're sticking with that theme.

Is there ever a hope of seeing this fly at shows or events or is that pretty much out of the question and it can only be done in secret to avoid the liability exposure of large groups of people?

Ok Prep, Mark, Drill, Bevel, Align, Trial Fit, Glue, Clean. I figure a minimum of 10 minutes a hinge plus daily setup time. That is over 20 hours of just hinges. I bet you were glad when that final hinge was glued in.
