The 25th F3A World Championships in Santa Fe, Argentina are almost upon us. For Team USA, Andrew Jesky, Dave Stodart, Ryan Smith and myself, are leaving Miami on Halloween at 8:30pm to head down there for a bit of team practice beforehand. I guess we’ll all dress up as goofy RC Pilots for the flight down. There will be 82 contests from 32 countries participating in this year’s world championships. The timing is a bit later in the year as compared to past years, but this is due to the spring season down south. We are looking forward to some very comfortable temperatures and, from what we are being told, some steady winds. It sounds like the perfect recipe for a world championships. There is more information about workings of this world championships here: www.argentinaf3a.com Our team manager Albert Glenn and team member Quique Somenzini are already down there as they left a day before us. We are looking forward to joining them the morning of the 1st to head out to go and practice. Our assistant team manager, Raiko Potter, will join us over the weekend and Verne Koester and the Jesky’s will be arriving next week. It’s time for me to finish packing and maybe catch an hour or so of sleep before traveling down to Buenos Aries. We are looking forward to our trip down there as are other’s I have been in contact with. I am looking forward to hearing, and reading, about all the travel stories and outlooks from others during the contest. Look for daily updates right here at the Flying Giants during the competition, which starts on November 11th and finishes up on the 17th. Last edited by wizard; 11-04-2007 at 03:04 AM.
