Fuchs is making my prop now and I will have it in 3-5 weeks I guess. It is close to $400, so yours looks good at $200 ![]() When do you expect the 260s to show up to you, and how long will it take for you to ship all these monsters out?

Well.... As soon as I get the planes I will start shipping them out. The only thing is, I will have to inspect them all prior to shipment to make sure they are all good! All of the boxes will need to be turned around and shipped. Once I get confirmation the planes are on the water, I will request all customers get their final payment in, this will definatley reduce the turn-around time for the shipment. I expect it will take a week to get all the planes shipped. I hope to post soon the container has shipped! Keep your fingers crossed we get that shipment out soon! The planes are shipping! Ok, International orders that are having thier airplanes shipped direct from China will get their planes within a few days! Those planes are being shipped out TODAY! For the rest of us, The container will leave Tuesday. China has admitted to delays and have come up with a small problem regarding the Cub....... They can not supply the cotter pins or the rubber gromments for the cowling. I told them to ship the planes anyway, I will have to supply those items seperatley. No big deal. So, the Cubs will ship on Tuesday. THoughts? Bill |

BH Container can take between 12 day to 24 day to cross. Then it is Custom times and shipment from LA to Tucson. Hopefully things will be quick! I can do a quick turn for you guys for the NALL! BH |

GREAT NEWS!!!! The 50% Cub has completed its first IMAC competition! The Cactus Classic was held in Phoenix this past weekend. My friend, Jeremy Valencia used the 50% Cub in his first IMAC contest. Jeremy has been flying Giant Scale stuff for only a few months when I offered this plane to him two weeks ago. With only a few practise flights before the contest Jeremy enter into the BASIC class and flew the Cub very well! I am very proud of his accomplishments and his 5th place finish out of 15 contestants. Great Job! There were 10 people that got beat by a 50% Cub! Yeah! lol. The airplane was very well received at the contest with several people laughing at how big and beautiful the plane flew. I even heard a few judges laugh at how well the airplane performed as it was going into the 1 1/2 turn spin. chuckle, chuckle.... For the contest, I did a lot of work to help reduce the prototype's weight down to be easier to fly for the uplines. I removed the following items. 1- prop drill jig guid (used as 9 ounce weight in motor box) 2- aileron servos (10 ounces with wires and arms) 1- Rudder servo (5 ounces with wires and servo arm) 2- Scale 8.5" Cub wheels (replaced w/ 5.5" dubro's. 3 pounds difference) Total weight savings for the contest was nearly 4.5 POUNDS! Next weekend I will experiment with removing the 2lb dumb bell I have straped to the motor box and see how the CG feels. Anyway, the Cub flew very well and I am very proud of the plane/pilots accomplishments at this event. The "Cub" wheels are back on the plane and is ready for more flight testing this weekend. The plane now has 60+ flights on it and it keeps getting better. Frank Noll (team Futaba Manager) made a suprise visit and was able to take the Cub around the patch for nearly 20 minutes Saturday afternoon. He was very impressed with the Cub and was heard giggling also to himself as he performed a Knife Edge Hover while facing into the 15 MPH wind! Great job Frank! Just thought I would share this past weekend with all. If you were there and saw the Cub fly, please post your thoughts on this plane, thanks. My worry has been not so much that a Cub could not be able to execute the maneuvers as defined (the judging criteria is based on the geometry and accuracy of the lines, after all), but how it would present so differently than airframes optimized for aerobatics. That would seem to create a substantial challenge for the judges. I'm all for big, lumbering aircraft that, rather than flying with scalpel-like precision, present more like the scale air-show characters that spectators can identify with. It would be good for IMAC and a great challenge for the pilots. Big thumbs-up Bill!

| Bill, Thanks for the opportunity and help with my first IMAC. It was a pleasure to fly the Cub as usual. It was also a lot of fun to see how the event was run, and to be able to fly in it. SlowHuck, GO FOR IT. I say if your not having fun flying then you should probably look for another sport/hobby. Flying the Cub made me focus more on timing and energy management. I ended up flying the sequence at full throttle because it was taking to long to get from one side of the box to the other, and of course I needed the speed for the up-lines. The Cub does not perform with speed but with grace. It was very scale like to say the least. The most important thing is that I had a lot of fun. As for judging, from what I understand, its not the plane, its how well the maneuver is performed by the pilot AND the plane. It would have been nice to fly the plane more than 3 times before the event but that just added to the fun factor. ![]() Again, thanks Bill. |
