![]() about the video.. if it is a mini dvd disc camera you have to end the disk before trying to play it as a dvd! that way you wont be able to record more on that disk, but you will be able to play it on your computer as a dvd and also save the video on your computer! I hope this helps! I want to see the video also! best, and happy new year to you and to your family! Jose Salido

Bill, I can't wait to see the Cub in Elie's hands.......... "And there Elie is. The cub is idling at the beginning of the runway. He advances the throttle slowly at an attempt at his first scale take-off. The plane rolls forward and the tail begins to lift off of the grass. As the throttle advances more the plane picks up speed and the mains pull away from mother earth. Wait........whats that......Elie is jumping up and down yelling.......what is he yelling? SNAAAAAAAAAAP-AAAA-SAURRRRRRR-UUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSS just as the plane does a full power full deflection 3D Snap with the wingtip just missing the grass by inches........ Ladies and Gentlemen, Elie Houayes goes Scale!!!!! |

Hey Andy, This prototype Cub weighs 64.5 pounds. This might seem a little heavy but the production planes should be a lot lighter. I am carying 5 pounds 9 ounce of CG weight in the nose. The new production Cubs will have a lighter tail section and require much less weight to balance. I am also running 4 elevator servos in the stab. I believe a single 300 oz+ servo would be sufficient in the tail on each side. This should save a lot of weight back there. My best guess would be that production Cubs should weigh 59-60 pounds ready to fly (minus fuel). I am also running (6) Futaba 9152 servos in the wings. This is over-kill. After the AMA show, I will be removing the 2-center servos reducing the overall weight of the plane even more. I will also be removing the center rudder servo. There are (3) rudder servos mounted just behind the CG and I am sure only (2) are needed! On the production planes, the rudder servos have been moved forward 6" too. Bill Hempel

You can try connecting the camera to your PC and going into Windows Movie Maker and pressing on "Capture video". Might work.

Looks great Bill! Can't wait to see it fly at Tucson this year. You are going to fly it in the invitational class right? PM me when you get a chance. Best Wishes, JN |
