Hi Guys,

Just got an update on the production J-3 Cubs already! Oracover is out of stock of Cub Yellow Fabric and the production run for Cub Yellow will not take place until Febuary 20th.

What does this mean to us? Well, it means that the shipment from China will be delayed by about 3 weeks. The shipment looks like it will take place in March and I will receive the container in April. I am really sorry about this delay but that still gives the die-hard builders enough time for the Joe Nall!

The problem occured when China attempted to order the 2300 FEET of covering needed for this project! Wow, now that is a lot of covering material.

I was thinking more on the A200 electric motor for this. The plane can handle the weight as this is not your Comp IMAC machine right!!

So lets get Rainer hacker to hollow shaft the A200 so we set up a constant speed prop on this thing. Use a heli governor and a litle bit of tinkering on the variable pitch prop and we have a hoot of a model here.

OK you purists will say Cubs did not have CSP´s . Well thats true to an extent but the refurbished 180 Hp ones did. Yeah they had flaps and stuff and a bigger wing (Hemple refused my request for a super cub wing as it would take a semi truck to ship it alone) but IT aint hard to build a new wing or add two panels to the wing Bill supplies. Then we have a real bad a$$ cub.

Bill Hemple is hereby charged with the felony of buggering up my NY resolution (No NEW Planes in 2008) and he done it on the first day of the year.

Shame on you Hemple, shame on you.
