What facilities are there? showers, water?

Two bathrooms (each with two stalls and a sink), water fountain, vending machines (snacks and drinks), a kitchen that is easily accessible with a club board member. I am going to be "roughing it" with my tent and air mattress. I am going to take showers outside with water from the bathroom sinks. Let me tell you the water is not as cold as when I went camping in the mountains earlier in winter 40+ degrees of "freeze your A$$ off" water. Now that was one of the fastest baths I've ever taken.  Plus the coolest parts of FX3D are going to happen at night when everyone is back at their hotels (night flying, fireworks, etc....) Just hope no one gets arrested.....oh wait we've got a local sherriff that lives next to the field. WOOHOO! PARTAY!!!!

I'm really Happy to see that 3-D Flying at Gateway RC is starting to really get rolling...I lived in Jacksonville,after retirement,for 5 years, and soloed in Fernandina in 1998...at that time, 3-D was TABOO, everywhere....I was addicted to everthing about 3-D in 1996, after seeing most of the sponsored pilots flying the noon shows, in Deland, and around southern florida...I truly hope that this Show really gets going, and will continue thru the years to come...  |
