It was an event I will remember for a long time, well, at least until 2009. Next year is going to be even bigger, we are already making plans. As soon as we nail down a date, its on again.

I have to amit I was expecting to see more carnage, but the skill level of the pilots that were in attendance was well above normal. We set the rules and the guys followed them almost to the letter, except for a couple of line breakers that was it. Pilot meetings, briefs, callers (spoters), and good attitudes made our event one of the safest I have attended.

I still have a smile on my face, it won't go away, and when I mailed that $2500 dollars off to the Children of Fallen Soldiers relief fund it made me want to call everyone up and do it again this weekend.

The sponsors gave us some killer prizes, who ever heard of winning round trip airline tickets at a RC event, not to mention all the swag we had from everyone else. I was constantly giving stuff away starting Friday all the way through Sunday.

So for you guys that missed it, you might want to mark this one down for next year. FOR SURE

I does look like it was a great time. Those pullouts from the all up event looked like a mass ballon or missile launch! Great control and depth perception from the callers and pilots. Even the takeoff rollouts were neat.

I may have to add this to the list of events to see.
