Converted my 10SX to 2.4ghz, then out of selfishness bought the 9303 2.4ghz to get model match and servo sync...still have a few planes to convert - but im half way there

72mhz here.

I could put a module in my 9303 if I wanted, but if I was going to do that I'd probably just get a dedicated 2.4 setup. . .for now I don't see any real reason to change. Though I usually fly when the field isn't crowded, I must admit that it's nice when I'm flying and someone drives up and I see that little stubby 2.4 antenna and I don't have to think about it.

The fact that others are switching is almost good enough for me! :-D

14MZ with FASST module. Test flew my Dalton the other day and to me i felt ALOT more connected with the plane than with the G3 RX. I felt a big difference. So far I have three airplanes on 2.4. Need to switch about two more and all my main planes will be on 2.4

I have two "native" systems (Futaba 6EX) and one module (Futaba TM-7). I have no plans to dump all my 72 MHz stuff right now since I have a half dozen or so systems. They all work very well for me, and the frequency pin is not as hard to come by now that a lot of people have made the move to 2.4g.

Some people don't like the antenna-on-the-module, but I do. It allows me to bounce back and forth between 72 and 2.4g with ease on my Futaba radios.

I'm still waiting to get a 12FG, but there is a 9303 at the local hobby shop that has been calling my name.

You have obviously never been zapped by static while flying 35' metal lines. I did have that happen to me once, luckily I did not let go of the lines. THAT is what you call ELECTRICAL INTERFERENCE!!!

I voted for still on 72, but I have no plans to transition in 08 as of yet. My Multiplex IPD equipment has proved to be rock solid, and with the scanner it wont let me transmit if someone is even bleeding over a little into my channel. This being said 2.4 is definitely proving itself as a viable option.

Been flying on 6102 since I started (had to dump that Futaba 4 channel right away!! ).

6102 was rock solid, but now more people are on my channel especially when I go to dome fly. I live w/in 1 mile of our Primary Field, and my buddy lives the same from our secondary field. I've been getting more into electrics now, so any chance I can just 'whip it out' and fly, is good for me.

DX7 on order, nobody was at home to sign for delivery! Hopefully here by the weekend for the next dome flight.

i am a spektrum man now.... the dx7 is terrific. i have put 7000 rx's in a couple planes (up to 100cc) and i am installing two 9100's in some 42%ers now... i really love the piece of mind of the 4 separate remote rx's!!!!!! our field has had some frequency issues with an abundance of new cell towers put up over the last couple seasons and many of us have lost planes to strong glitches.... i believe that most every regular at our club has switched to 2.4 already or has their new setups in the mail as we type!!!!!!
