In transition from Futaba to JR, 72 to 2.4, 12X on backorder but for now 9303 will have to do, still have some 72 mhz airplanes.

I dont like the stubb aeriels on 2.4 Old school numpty on the block. If it aint broke dont fix it Stephan vurm had a nasty accidend on oldschool kit were some folks died at a show in hungry i think? But accidents happen regardless of technical advancements. Here in the UK theres still some debate by the LMA on 2.4 not being safe at public shows flying real heavy birds. It sounds like fear of technology. But maybe they hate that wee stub of an aeriel like me | ||||||||||||||||||

Just happy with my plain old 9 cap pcm allways, cant justify the move to 2.4. Maybe in a few years or if i accidentally run it over with the car etc. Mark |

I've made the switch to 2.4Ghz but am still evaluating JR/Spektrum and Futaba. I have a 7C FASST and a DX7 and have mixed feelings about both radios, mainly in the programming and flexibility aspects. They both have their pro's and con's and it's a difficult to find a clear leader. To tell the truth, i really like the FASST technology over the Spektrum but have been a long time JR user (9303 till recently) so i like JR's programming more. I'm hoping forthcoming Futaba 10C will be as good as the 9303 in the programming stakes. |

The poll is lacking, no spot for staying with 50mhz. I have 2.4 DX7 for the foamies, never in a plane that can kill. Not until the 50mhz gets shot down, the main "reason" touted by the 2.4 companies to switch. The poll assumes you took the bait, and swallowed. I spit the lure back out. |

I have had a DX7 for about a year now for foamies and electrics. I recently recieved a 12FG that I will begin converting all new airplanes to in the future. Im not going out of my way to change over my airplanes on 72 to 2.4, but as airplanes get replaced, the changes will be made.

I guess when I stop seeing the terms "problems with," "issues with," Incidents with," binding problems, locked out, voltage issues, etc. then I will know its safe to join the 2.4 crowd. After reading this thread, I guess I'm not the only one that sees where "not moving, using, sticking with 72, etc." is not an option to this poll. I still think its going to be the future for us all but I'm waiting till the bugs are out of it and daily use without incident is the norm. Its coming though! WT |
