| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | Ladies and Gentlemen, Get ready for the contest of the year - the 'Clover Creek Aerodrome Invitational'. This contest will have four of the five IMAC classes - Sportsman, Intermediate, Advanced, and Unlimited......as well as an Invitational Class. The contest will take place at John Schroders personal airfield - The Clover Creek Aerodrome - nestled on a 207 acre sod farm located in Toone, Tennessee. The contest dates are August 29 - 31, with a rain date of September 1, 2008. The Invitational Class will be competing for a $50,000 cash purse over the three days of competition. They will be flying a Known sequence, Unknown sequence, and a Freestyle routine each day. Twenty one invitations have been sent out – but only the first 15 to respond will be able to compete. After completing day two of the competition – the scores will tallied and the Top 10 finalist will continue to compete on Sunday. The Invitational class will fly three flights total per day. The IMAC classes will be capped to 10 pilots in each category. An IMAC blast e-mail will be sent to all IMAC members notifying them of the registration date. This will be a first come first serve basis, we have however; set aside two slots in each class dedicated to the winners at the US National Championships (If they choose to partake in this event). IMAC participants will be competing over three days, with 1 round of Known’s and an Unknown each day - no Freestyle. The IMAC classes will fly three flights total per day. The list of names for the Invitational Class listed below in alphabetical order. Judges are being selected from all regions across the US. They will be selected by considering their judging background as well as their experience at other prestigious competitions. IMAC classes will be contestant judging. Stay tuned - get the word out - and check e-mails often. This one is surely going down in the record book and will be the beginning of a bi-yearly OR even a yearly event - depending on how well this event turns out. If you would like to participate as a vendor or be a sponsor of this major event – please contact me through a PM here on Flying Giants or send an e-mail. I will provide you information as to the different levels of sponsorships. We are working on a web site to make this event more formal for the public and pilots to obtain information as it unfolds. But as for now – we will post any news and updates here on Flying Giants. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at ‘The Clover Creek Invitational’ Joe Cutright – jtorqueroll@comcast.net Wayne Matthews John Schroder Last edited by xtra330 : 04-12-2008 at 05:34 PM. |

Joe, Wayne or John, The article says three flights for IMAC classes.. I count two flights and 3 "sequences" Is that correct? Or, are you doing two, single sequence flights for knowns? Will that make up a known round? Kinda like what we have done at the Nats with a full Unlimited class?
