Bulls Butt, we have a 3W212 sitting in the box if you want to cut the firewall back. That will kick ass and its heavy so we can take out the boat anchor you tie wrapped up front to make it balance.

Cheers mate,

His other flight of the day was even better but I had put the cam down to watch . K/E about 18" from the deck and generally jaw dropping. Hopefully someone else might have caught it on YouTube

Hey Fella's!

I thought I would chime in!!

yep the cub is awesome and the ZDZ 210 just keeps getting stronger!!thanx Mrflash for the info u posted!

We changed the control surface hardware from using the threaded rod to getting some cnc made phenolic horns made!there are only 2 8711's per ail which has proven to be enough and 2 per elev half! and 3 on the rudder!we also had some custom ali hubs made!have a look at the pics!
oh and the mad man himself flew the cub like in the vid on its second test flights!as the builder my heart was literally in my mouth

I'm sure the smooth English announcer would have done it more like:

sleepy, trust me, we brits sometimes wish for the total opposite!

All the engines that was/were RCShowcase is now owned and purchased by TBM's...
He has a great sale on even the Radial 4-stroke engines...(if I had the cash, I would pick one up)

Mike dooly still works on these for TBM's.... so IF you would like to purchase a starter, I am sure
that Mike can help you out...(if you are serious about this)....

According to a artcle that is still posted on the rcs website... which has the starter mounted
on a zdz 80 twin, the starter weighs in at a heafty 3 and 1/2 pounds....

For a ARF aerobatic plane that is 100cc or less, this could be an issue....

FOr a scale 50-60% CUB, I doubt this would even be noticed...

I would love to have a starter on a big CUb,,,, how cool would that be!!!

Kiwi, why don't you go one step further and have a dedicated battery, located right next to the regulater/expander, for each wing, stab and the rudder? Take it even further: each power distribution center for each surface could have its own receiver as well!

These huge planes require some non-traditional thought. I'm excited about your project. Keep the updates coming.
What do you think of 1 A123 2300 in each wing and 1 in the tail with programmable servos. Then 1 A123 2300 up front. No regs. no equalizers. Cool thing is todays technology allows us many options.
