Default INTRODUCING: IMAC Headquarters!

The FG Staff has recently returned from the Don Lowe Masters and the Tucson Aerobatic Shootout. We were amazed at the flying and dedication to this segment of the hobby that these pilots have. We can certainly see the recent popularity explosion of Precision Scale Aerobatics and, because of that, the Flying Giants have decided to commit to you more dedicated Scale Aerobatic forums, more in depth articles, regional news, and the latest happenings in the world of IMAC.

We have onboard, some of the most knowledgeable people in IMAC today including a number of podium stander’s at The Shootout, and IMAC organizational representatives. Our “IMAC Dreamteam” includes many Shootout podium standers, and even the future president of the IMAC Organization! Together, we plan on providing coverage of their regions and also provide you guys with the information you need to get you to the next level of competition or what it takes to get started in this fast growing segment of the hobby.

If you are a newcomer to straight line flying or a veteran looking for a good discussion, we believe this will be your last place to go to discuss your passion.

We already have some great articles and topics being discussed in the IMAC Headquarters, so be sure to check ‘em out! Out of the gates, we have Wayne Geffon's article on his set up for his competition plane, the 2007 Aresti catalog in written form, and John Bank’s IMAC for newbies! All these articles can be found in the new IMAC "Articles and Perspectives" forum.

Stop by and check out the new forums and see for yourself what straight line flying is all about.

Thanks a bunch! We’re all VERY excited about assisting in promoting this great competitive aspect of the hobby, and The IMAC Organization as a whole.

Awesome! Matt and I are planning on enternig a few IMAC contests next year in Sportsman. Great to have FG support this, and I'm sure they will do it up right in the typical FG style.

You guys did a great job at Tucson. Everyone at Tucson noticed how hard the Giants team was working to provide the best coverage possible. You guys were not just covering the event, but were an intregal part of it. Giving those nice shirts to all of the competitors was above and beyond!

I am glad to see that you will be expanding your focus on precision flying. This aspect of the sport is gaining interest. In San Diego, our local club will be hosting a year long series of precision flying events. Here is a link to the announcement and information for it http://sefsd.org/ . Just click on the Aerobatic Series headline. Any of you Giants that want to join us are more than welcome. Because it is an all electric field, entrants will be limited to electric power. This does not mean only small planes however. There will be a good number of 30% electrics entered. Any of you who saw the Turbo Raven at Tucson kow how good a large electric can be.
