syma, if you have the 70katana, dont put a 46 on it... I put a ST90 2 stroke on mine, good combo, a 91 4c would work well also.

thanks john....i've got 2 version of katana...the first one is katana 46 powered by asp 80 4c....now i've got katana 70.....will use asp 91 4c....this bird is really rock!!!!

by the way john, what is your auw?

I dont know, I dont usually weigh my planes, but it flies light, and is fun. You will enjoy it! Mine is a V1 and so far so good.

Sorry for useing an old thread but I got my 70 V2 only now.I put ST90 in it and have tried 16X4W ,14X6,14X4w 80/20 meth /castor fuel,new engine, apparently no way it will hover at even 90%throttle ! Does not seem to like nitro ! RPM figures are 16X4W=7500,14X6=9000,14X4W=9600full throttle. How did you hover at half throttle please ?

Mine hovers no problem with awesome vertical, are you flying on top of a mountain? Go buy some 15% fuel and fly it.

1700' ASL, 32 deg celsius. AUW 3.5 kg (7.7 pounds).Have tried 10% nitro , engine not very happy with it, Very smooth otherwise on straight fuel. app 1-1/2 gallon since first start. What prop & muffler are you useing ?

stock engine, stock muffler, 15% fuel, hover is not a problem at all.. something is wrong

i'm using byron 10% with 20% castor/synthetic...my engine is asp 91 4c with 15 x 4w. i'm not taching my rpm...but the plane hover very well...maybe u need to adjust ur high speed needle a little lean....

Thanks, Syma I will be getting a 15x4 and will try again with 5% fuel at first. Thanks anyway John for your very positive statement that ST90 will hover it.
