The engine has settled down a little ! 15 flights ,APC 14X4W@10900, now wont hold well in a hover , but unlimited vertical even from a very slow pace. What is your AUW Syma ?

i dont weight my plane....if its unlimited vertical, then it should be no prob for hover....my asp only give me 7600 @ 15x4w....with engine 640g w/o muffler + 2 towerpro 996 mg at the back, and additional weight 60g to counter CG, i think my v2 not less than 3kg...

[quote=Aditya;586328]1700' ASL, 32 deg celsius. AUW 3.5 kg (7.7 pounds).Have tried 10% nitro , engine not very happy with it, Very smooth otherwise on straight fuel. app 1-1/2 gallon since first start. What prop & muffler are you useing ?[/quote
It hovers, 20 flights now, 15X4 MAS@11480, straight fuel but pullout not good ,I wiil have to try
16X4 MAS or 15X4 wood. I also did a removeble stab convertion during build that added 60 grams
in tail wt-needed 180gm in the nose to balance the bird. ST90 w/muffler 765 gm, hitec HS625's in
tail .

You need to put that bird on a diet.

First, get rid of the 180gm of nose-weight -- that's doing nothing but ruining your pull-out.

If you need to -- relocate the engine further forward in the mounts to get the CG forward.

If you can lighten-up the rear-end, do so. Try carbon pushrods instead of the standard wire ones and there *are* lighter servos than the 625s that can also help.

Make sure your receiver battery is as far forward in the wing as you can get.

If you've got marginal pull-out you'll find that making the plane 180gm lighter will make a *huge* difference.
