Hey guys, just about to order and am wondering if Hitec 5245`s MG are enough for this plane.

THanks

LeBlanc, I've had at least one with the 5245's. They run well, but not on 6v. Run them on a standard 4.8v pack, or a castle BEC backed off to about 5v and you'll be fine.

Did you run only 1 5245 in 1 plane or all 5245 in one yak?

Thanks for the info!

All 5245's in one Yak (4 + futaba 3101).

I've also run that servo setup on the OMP Boxxer as well as a few others.

Show, on 6v, the 5245's twitch frequently. Back them down to 4.8v and the twitching goes away. On a profile, that twitching was enough to nearly put me in the ground while 3d'ing. Changing to a 4.8v pack eliminated the problem completely.

I am using Futaba 3050 Servos with a 6V battery and an APC 13 x 4 prop on an OS .55 AX....Works great!

Thats a bummer cause with 2.4 you need to run 6v to b dropout safe.Looking @ a used mojo with those hitecs, hmmmmmmmmmm

Yea, I actually have heard it often. I have had a lockout with 4.8, and lost a plane. 6v you have way less chance of dipping below the rx voltage requirements and locking out.
