Hmm... You must be using gold plated parts because I finished my Mojo ARF using about $20 for wheels, tank & linkage... But this thread is about the OMP Yak...

I am sorry, I opened a sour can of worms... I am not even going to go there... Its my fault for paying that much for a Kit that is covered. I love Billy H ans thats why I paid what I paid, it isnt an arf by any crack smoking high for $189. I do however have a new plan for my mojo..... I will give new flight reports.... Excited about it

ARF's come in all levels of completion. On Billy's site, you can see what has to be done to complete the MOJO. It is one of the best flying profiles on the market today, by 99% of reports that I have read. OK!!! Back to the OMP Yak!!!

Would a Saito 100 be enough for this ship?

Saito 125 or YS 110 would be a better choice for the 65 Yak but if you have a Saito 100 already it would be pretty decent. It won't pullout of a hover like a rocket but will still be adequate pullout.

Just put mine through 6 flights today with a .91 2 two stroke. You guys weren't kidding when you said this thing is a great flying airplane. I had entirely too much fun with it. I dorked it twice. First time from the engine quitting in a hover. The battery came loose and went through the leading edge of the wing and the ply root ribs pulled loose a bit. Fixed it and flew again for the rest of the day. All I had for a prop was a apc 16x4 wide blade and even with that big popsicle stick on the .91 it went vertical forever. This is one fun airplane. |

.91 without a doubt. The lighter the better. I know guys are using 1.10's on these alot, but I've seen a ys .91 fly a funtana and this thing is way lighter.
