Hello Vaccari,

That is correct. Same YS from Central Hobbies. Also thank you for invitation very much, I am not sure if my flying skill is worthy of me flying overseas. Thank you again, Reza

The engine you used was the YS FZ 110 S?
It's the only 110 I found (centralhobbies.com)

When are you planning to fly in Brazil?
It would be great.

Vaccari.

Hello,

iam from Austria and also want to buy the Yak 54 69" from Somenzini! Is it right that the YS 110 has more Power in the plane than the OS 120 ?

How is this possible - in the spec sheet the OS120 has 3,1 HP and the YS 110 has only about 2,1 !!!

Why should the YS 110 have more Power than the OS ??
(Sorry for my bad english......)

For me im thinking to install the OS120 or the SAITO 125 which is better for 3D flight and has more power?
Fits the SAITO 125 in the plane?

hemartin,

I use the Saito 125 and it fits perfectly using the YS110 holes and balances nicely. So far, it seems that it has ample power, but I've only flown it 4 times and haven't really pushed it yet.

Most people will tell you that the YS110 has more power than the Saito 125. It also has a pressurized system which allows you to move the tank over the CG if you wanted (I notice a difference after about 7 minutes of flight). On the negative side, I've heard that it vibrates more. Even with my Saito 125, the front of the canopy rattled significantly and one of the canopy screws backed out while on the ground. A few strips of foam saddle tape stopped the rattling.

+1 on the Saito 1.25. Perfect match.

Thank you for the answers! I think i will take the SAITO 125 or the YS110. But i cant understand why the 4 stroke engine like the SAITO 125 or the YS110 is more powerfull than the 2 stroke with the same size (OS120)?

Can you tell me the difference between the yak 54 69" and the yak 54 73" - which is the better choice?

Better choice for what? The 73" is a bigger plane and requires a bigger engine. All of the Yaks from Quique are just a different scale.
The difference between a 2c and 4c engine is torque. The 2c revs higher and has less torque. 4c has more torque at a lower rpm. Torque is the important factor, not HP. True with all engines. 4c is also more effecient.

hemartin,

I personally like the 69" a little more than the 73". Power, wing loading and behavior of that plane is just exceptional but you can't go wrong with either

Ok - thank you! Do you think it is possible to use a gas engine like the Tony Clark ZG-20 in the YAK-54 69" ?? Has anyone installed this engine in the yak ??
