Default Looking for best prop size

Hi guys
I am flying a blackhorse katana 160 with a ys 140.
Currently flying it on a 17x8 asp prop while i run the engine in and getting used to flying it.
It really flies superp i enjoy it every time i take it up, but it is just starting to feel restricted with the 17x8 prop

My question is what would be the best size prop to use with the ys 140.

Thanks

Chris

My 140L runs real well with a 16x10 Mejlik, but it's on a Pattern plane so that prop wouldn't necessarily work for your type of flying.

You might want to try an APC 17 x 6 or a 16.5 x 5W, I've run both props on a Saito 150, they work well. I do know that the YS has more power than my Saito, so these might not be enough prop.

Thank's ken
I tried the 16x10 today and it flew really well on it, so i am going to use it for a bit and later down the line i will experiment with other sizes.

Cheers

Chris

I have been flying a CAP 232, 73 inch wing span with a YS140L and the best props are an APC 18 X8 wide blade, or if you have the money a Mejzlik 18 X 6 prop is best. I also use the Mejzlik 18 X 6 on my 24 % CA Extra 300L with an Evolution 26GT gas engine.
