| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() ![]() | Whoooo That puts a whole new meaning on the term yard sale or community service. Still glad to see he's OK and the planes replaceable so that dont matter at all. I wonder how many guys are out there pulling the pole out of the PITTS to see if it cracked or fatigued right now??? | Shake and Bake ![]() | I dont believe the stick actually broke. If it did he would not have had any aileron. He was kind enough to share his story at Sun-N-Fun while signing posters. I believe it was a heim joint but I know the stick didn't break off. He said it broke at 220 mph at 20 feet. He said that there was too much lag time using the trim to try and land. It was really cool hearing it straight from the man. |

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | That makes sense, cause' that stick wouldn't just snap like that. There's not a whole lot of force on the stick itself with the controls being balanced and with spades and all.
