As much as your going to hate it....a lot of viruses today like to hide in your system restore. That way when they are deleted from you system....the first thing they do upon reboot is reinstalled themselves. The best thing I can recommend is turning off system restore. I do it to any machine I build or repair. It's just one less place for them to hide. Neo |

The best way to do it is just fdisk, format and start from scratch! When I was beta testing MS software back in the Windows 95, Memphis 98, NT 4.0 - 5.0 days it was SOP to reformat and install about every 3-6 months. Important data I always kept on CD's or a backup computer. Nothing like FDISKin and starting from scratch! I recently built my current computer after not having built a PC from the ground up in a few years. It was fun and really easy. My first job was putting PC's together for $7 an hour. Of course this was back in 1997 so that was not bad for a HS kid. I recommend Fdisk because a virus can remain even with a regular format. Or just run Linux / Unix or a MAC. My linux and MAC machines were always much less problematic and much more reliable.

The absolut best virus program is deffinetley nod 32. This 33% thread is mine and right when I opened the link it caught it. The program is the best in my onpinion because in the history of there productions they havent missed one virus. This is garrentee. I believe them because almost every few hours the program updates it self because a new virus has been put on the web. So the system has a deffense for every virus ever created and so on. Garret, after I looked at the link I didnt have any problems I just threw the virus away.
