vdeo viewing help

Hey Max, Maybe you can point me in the right direction.

The last few days, when I want to view certain videos, all I get is the sound track and just a blank screen. This started shoing up when trying to view videos from the 70% Staudacher flights and a video Whirlygirl posted of me doing a SNAP a SAURUS.

What do you think is wrong and what to do about it ?

I got the same problem, sometimes all I get is sound and a gray picture.
Where is that Snapasaurus video of yours?

It is posted by WhirlyGirl right on the home page, but I get a grey screen and just sound.

I am trying to get her to drop the video direct to me, or try to post it a different way.

So Ellie, you see what I mean, by "my kind of luck". This time there is a camera at the field, but now the posted video can't be viewed.

It was a good "BADASS" SNAP-A-SAURUS.

You PC users need to get out of the stone age.

Go Mac and you won't go back.

Try seeing if you can update your QuickTime viewers and that should clear up the picture.

P.S. - Ellie, my husband and I were on vacation when we saw your neat contest idea. When we get home, we're going to post our video of a husband/wife double BADA$$ Snap A Saurus!!!

Well, That didn't work.

I updated my QuickTime and no change if the video viewing. No Picture.

Any other ideas ???????

I even did a repair to QT and another update. Still a no go. Well, I have to hit the sack for tonight. Work comes early. Let me know if you hit on something.

WhirlyGirl, I will be looking forward to that, we have seen a SuperDave BadAss Snapasaurus, we've seen double and triple Snapasaurus but never a double husband/wife, that will be a first and will earn you your BadAss Snapasaurus wings, just don't forget to yell loud.

The best fix for this that I have found is to save the vid to your computer, then view it. Some people are having issues viewing avi format files. If you save it to your computer first it normally cures the problem.

The FG upload is limited to a shade over 19 meg. Kyle and I made our video (we both did magnificent Snapasauraus' complete with BadAssssss gusto!) and it came out to just over 40 meg. Somebody told us to "compress it." (Compress it.......... That's computer lingo for what the hell are ya talkin' about!!??) When we figure out what to do we're sending it along anyway.
We just got in around 9 o'clock this evening from the field and we have taken SBA to a new low! The CAP is really getting in to this! I think we are too!
