Max,Are there any issues with the site beng slow? I am seeing a very slow responce to loading any and all FG web pages.I do not see any issues when viewing any other web sites. Everything is normal there.

Me too, plus I've bought 5 computers to fix this problem. Max you owe me for the 5 computers I had to buy to make your site run faster.

I agree, I been having slow site problems for weeks. Take forever to see a new page or go back. Thought it was just my slow computer, but, have found other sites running normally. It seems to be at the FG end.

What it may boil down to is this. There is a lot of content that just sucks up bandwidth. I have more problems with my DSL being slow here, then my work connection. I guess we all have to face it, Max is just giving us to much content!

Slowing down for sure! Maybe all the great content! Video is painfully slow. But then again I hate to wait for anything!

Papa Joe & All, from time to time the site will slow down, we get absolutely hammered on sunday-thursday at varying times. Why? Bandwidth, and page processing. Every page on FG is dynamic in nature, we are fully database driven - EVERY word, letter, photo, and video is stored in a big database - and the site was designed to be self developing (homepage videos, photos, posts, articles, reviews, swapshop, blogs, etc). Aside from rambling, it take alot of processing power to feed large volumes of users from time to time. This is also a VERY bandwidth intensive site. For the all techies out there - we sustain aproximately 10 megabits of bandwidth over a 30 day period between multiple very high end. And it's growing, YAY! ugh.

There are periods of time where stuff will crawl, usually when certain back end processes are running. It will normally clear up in a few minutes. The site will also come to a crawl for about 10 minutes when backups are processed at around midnight.

Right now, we're probably ready for an upgrade. Know I'm constantly tweeking and tuning the site for better performance in the meantime, and I read all this stuff. Thanks guys, I appreciate it.

At least the site doesn't crash 5 times every day like myspace.

Thanks Max for the great job! How could anyone complain when we can get all this great info for free! Just wish the video was faster.
