I'm sorry, maybe it's just me. I thought about it, and I put myself in the position of a guy that can only afford a nextstar or a duraplane. And to see a comment like choppedlow made, that would kind of suck, ya know. Just not a very nice thing to type in a public forum. I wasnt trying to be PC police like the moderators, just old fashioned good nature behind this one.

Yea.. I mean I will help a nextstar guy any day of the week,
but once the dude solos and gets his next plane... usually they start making fun of the thing as well.

I think that comment was just bustin balls.

The best thing about Nextstars is trying to hover them... or do inverted passes like 1' off the ground.
That is pretty cool.
I guess they don't suck!

The Cirkus IS dead. While I hate the Cirkus is on RCU, it's good that the Cirkus is not completly dead, but about 10% alive, being on RCU. Most people, like Chopped said, don't like RCU. I am not one of them. I hang out there usually, but I found the Cirkus, and it was like a whole different style: IT WAS CIRKUS STYLE!

I won't get the same feeling in the Under the Big Top forum. It's just not the same. I do miss the Cirkus, but the Giants are here to stay, and I'm going to get used to the Giants!

Maybe I didn't notice this on the old Cirkus registration, but was there a lower age limit of 18 before? There seemed to be lots of kids on the old circus.

Is the "new format" here "no kids allowed?" If not, what's with the birthday filtering?

Im back. BasinBum, I bet you and I are more alike than any other people I have seen on this site. I to think that "huckin" and all that jibberish is as corny as well. I too roll my eyes when I see the word "CIRKUS STYLE", or any phrase like that. I also feel the same about the ProBros. How can a bunch of RC guys be tough, a gang, or whatever. Your right. This is a goofy nerd sport, but it is cool as hell. The same reason I like guns, bikes, or whatever. If it is mechanical, it intrests me.
And for the record. I am the Pesident of my club, and am the first to implement any sort of learning program, or beginner program in years. I have donated my own planes to help those who are learning. To think I sit back and yell "huck it", or "50 grit pass" , is NOT what I find to be my style at all. Fact is, I don't have a style at all. Its a hobby for god sakes.
To think I feel a person with a Nexstar or Duraplane is less than myself, is stupid. I own them both. My point has been missed by three people, big time. My point that was missed was that the "huck", and all the rest of the lingo is going to be EVERYWHERE NOW! BasinBum, you think it is bad now, give it six months. Your going to have all of RCU saying it.
My whole point was that the cirkus was cool, because of what it was. I learned more from this site than RCU could ever take me. The people on the site were the ones who knew the good deals, what worked, and if you had a dumb question, it was answered in about 10 min. flat. I have had over a dozen posts deleated at RCU, and only one here. And that was a post I made fun of the ProBro guys for posing in every picture. No big deal. Any half hearted thread with a sexual overtone gets cut faster than $hit over there. But no big deal. That is what it is. RCU is no doubt going to try an rub off some of the "validity" of the Cirkus from this. Those who didn't like RCU, I bet are being "courted" by them now, in hopes to boost membership. So be it. If I were RCU, I would be doing it. I would pimp out the Cirkus as much as I could in hopes to raise my site. But in the end, it is still my site. Right? I just hope that SJ and ST get the bad end of it. That they rise above RCU, and make themselves stand withouth them. See what I am saying? The very first post on the "Cirkus IS BACK" on RCU, is by the RCU guys, and then they "hand over the mike" to ST and SJ. Wouldnt you have liked to see them on their own? I would. Just my opinion. If they truley were stabbed in the back once, twice would suck that much worse. Thats why I named it "RCU IS COOL NOW!!! If you think that the owners of the site don't think that, your crazy!
