Hey! Rcu Is Cool Now!!!

Man, what a joke! Almost an insult to anyone who liked the Cirkus for what it was, and also what it was not, and that it was the ANTI-RCU. I hate that place, to be honest with you. I lived on that site until I found this one. Just a bunch of guys, you know, the real nerds you think of when you think of folks who fly RC planes. They put Tower Hobbies on everything, and that is a big "see, we are geared to the highest denominator of the RC fan base". And the RCU guy on the first post...."Hey, those Cirkus guyse were cool, and I envied them, and they are here now....." so does that make them cool? Nope. Hey. The Cirkus is dead to me now. It was a cool thing that now has been sold to the Devil, and thats what I called them in the last thread I hope to post on the RCU. Seriously, how can Showtime and Smokin Joe, keep the "core element" of the Cirkus, when the folks they obvioulsly were targeting in the begining, have now put them in their pocket to show the world. Like "look, man am I a cool Cirkus freak now!" If Im wrong, than so what. But I doubt I am. If they were seriously driven to keep the "Cirkus Vibe" alive, then they should have done what Biff and Max have done, and set their own place up. If they don't know how to do a website, get a book. If www.risquerenee.com can figure it out, and make a monster porn world by being self taught, then they could too. I went over and checked it out, and it is a tug-of-fu$kn'-war for validation and folks to give them the thumbs up! And the kicker is....RCU HAS THEIR HANDS IN IT! I don't care what ANYONE says, three can keep a secret if two are dead....and a single person can't run the place the way they want, if theres another person in the background.
So, now I bet those cats who run RCU are patting themselves on the back, probabbly giving themselves high fives 'cause they are cool now. And I hope to God himself that Showtime and Smoking Joe don't get smacked in the ass for this. I hope they come out of this smelling like a new babbys fart. But come on, now they are the official cool bitches of RCU. I like those guys, and alway thought they were just as cool as Biff and Maxx. But lets all face it. The Giants is now a bit askew from the original concept, and the "Cirkus" is now way off from it as well. I for one will go were RCU isn't. Plain and simple. I like the new idea of the flying giants. A new breath of fresh air. Not an old one that I loved dearly, now ran by the MAN!
If you hate what I have written, then so be it. I still love you all, except that french guy who argued with me about free Carden plans. I wish all the best, on all sides. To no person I hope harm will finds its way. But now Im left looking for a place that I can go and freely express my feelings about the hobby and life in general with like minded folks. And I think I will fall into this site, just because of how well it seems to fit as of yet. Now there will be countless folks who have no "reason" to be on the Cirkus. These dorks will be at the field saying "Huck that Nexstar", or "Great 50grit pass with that Duraplane!". They will desicrate the Cirkus logo that we all grew to love by putting it next to their line dancing stickers. Give me one example fo something that was cool and kind of "under the radar of the general public", and went main stream and kept its coolness. Cant find it. I will shut up now, and hope this dust will all settle, and all will still be budds, but the hell if Im going to put "cool (as in the sence the original flying cirkus was)", and "RCU" in the same breath. Wow, so the guys flying the Nexstar can't be cool? That's the attitude you hope the "cool" sites portray? God bless the guy with the Nexstar trying to improve his skill, anyone looking down on him, well, probably will never get it.

I feel the same way about the Flying Giants that I did about the old Cirkus. Why? Because Chopped had an opinion and he posted it. It isn't going to be yanked. You can agree or disagree with it, but he probably won't be overly flamed. I don't think the cirkus style is dead. It will never live at RCU, but it will live and thrive right here on the Giants.We have mostly the same people, and from what I hear this site is going to take off in ways that the old cirkus couldn't. Give this place a chance, and post your true feelings. We can huck it all day, and in time the cirkus stickers will be replaced by the FlyingGiants stickers. When we have a yardsale we will mean it, and LOVE IT!

Guys as long as the few people that posted here on this thread, a few other cats that we all know, and Max, Biff and Jim are on here..... its Giant style, cirkus style, Bad ass style, dope dropin Bombz on Nexstar style.
Site is gonna rip, I'm going to be a part of it come hell or highwater.

No hard feelings for the other guys.. i hope the FLYING HAGAR does well over there.

No seriously.. I hope it keeps going for em and wish them well.. but for me I'm 100% down with this site.

I know, but it just isn't the SAME. It's great, and cirkus style lives on, but the original cirkus has died. This place is still great, but thats because it is www.flyinggiants .com. , and RCUcirkus is great because it is just that... RCUcirkus but the real www.flyingcirkus.com is dead. Oh well...we move on.
It's kinda like pruning. It is terribly ugly at first, but I'm sure it will get much better.

Kevgofly, do you want to see a picture of my Nexstar? I have two of them. You missed the point. I was on RCU every day for almost six months after I learned to fly my Nexstar. And then I found this place. And then I found out that there is a hole other world outside of RCU, Towerhobbies, and the other brands and distributers that they beat down your gullet. The point is, is that the "Cirkus" was kind of its own thing. A place where you could say just about anything. A place that was not mainstreem. Face it, thats why is was such a great place. Some folks just didn't understand it. Some folks would never even accept it. And having "Flying Cirkus" logos on your plane was great because it made you stand out. It made you "out of the ordinary". And that is what made it a place I wanted to be in. I must be diferent than you in that, I like to have my own identity of sorts. And I bet 99.8% of flying cirkus did to, or they would have been at RCU...right? Am I wrong here? Now, everyone is going to have the logo on their plane. Those who thought it was obsurd, racey, or to far out the to hang out at Flying Cirkus will all have it one click away, with a huge banner add saying "We have the Cirkus here". And when that happens, I know I would be looking for something different. And the cool thing about the Giants is, so far they like all aspects of the hobby, as long as you are pushing the envelope or trying to fly the hell out of it. Sorry If you feel/felt that I have anything against Nexstars or any plane that is not gaint scale.
