Hey Giants, I'm heading to Mesa Arizona for a 10 day break(feb 1 to 10) from the 3 feet of snow in my front yard. Unfortunetly takin my planes is not an option. Wich flyin fields in that area should I hit to see some huckers do there thing? Events? We'll also be in Tuscon and the Grand Canyon.

I'm from Tucson, but do fly at Phoenix fields. You are lucky to be staying in Mesa, because right up the road from you, you have the Superstition Air Park, just about the finest facility up there. It is located 1/2 mile north of Brown Rd, on Meridien Rd. Check it out, and tell us what you think. I flew there just this past October at the One Eighth Air Force scale event. My Brown B-2, Miss Los Angeles took a humble 3rd place in Racer Division. > Jim Last edited by starzak; 12-30-2006 at 06:53 PM. |

FastNLow - Try this out. It's Bill Lee's AMA Club Locator site. I typed in Mesa and 25 miles and it came up with 12 RC Clubs. Here is the link for Bill's site: http://www.ama-dist-8.org/Clubs/Locator.php If you happen to see an extra link in the upper right in the details below that looks like this - Link to GPS and Aerial Photos - That is some of my data and it will provide you with actual maps and sat shots of each Clubs runways. I was down in this country earlier this year and stopped by and visited some of the fields - HAD A GREAT TIME !! Hope this might help you a little and enjoy some of their warmer weather
