Time to hang out at the small airport around ya for pilots looking for a copilot to cover them on long trips in exchange for some flight time.

My instructor was just today talking about ways to get your hours up for minimal cost. If you can get your parachute drop licence (known in the industry as 'meat bombing') then you can fly for a company just lofting jumpers to 13,000 and back again. You can't get paid, but the operator CAN let you fly their planes for nothing, same applies for glider tow. All else fails, start cleaning airplanes.

Great job on the liscence! I am working on mine right now ( also 17 years old ). If I lived any where near you I would be delighted! How many hours do you have? 2 more months until I get liscence. I cant wait.

Are you going to go further with your skills?

Happy flying! A.J.

I'll be in FRESNO in a couple weeks. If you can get there i'd love to go fly around for a couple hours. I'll shot you a PM when it gets closer. Take off SNAP to KNIFE right?

He would need a commercial liscense for that.

This may sound crazy to most but I have been considering selling out my R/C stuff to start funding my Private Pilot training. I have always dreamed of flying as a career. I have spent the last 9 years thinking the thought and feelings would go away but they haven't. I generally spend my day at work only thinking about it and wishing I had pursued it earlier. I am torn right now! Anyone ever feel so strongly about something and never followed through with it?

Ya with every airplane that I've designed on paper and there still on paper. Mostly balsa wood electrics but i have formers and wing drawings for a fiberglass pattern plane. There still on paper because I still tell myself that im not good enough at building to do them.
