Any FG members in Hawaii, Big Island or Oahu?

I have to fly there for "work" over spring break.

Once lived on the Big Island. Where will you be staying? There are two clubs on the island (that I know of). One in Kona and one near Hilo. Was just there visiting a few months ago and hung out at the Kona field a couple days.

Let me know if you want more info about where and when they get together.

We're flying into Kona. I usually go over to Oahu, not much left to do on the big island. I've never found the field there, though. Where is it?

I may take my Trex this time, to have something to fly.

Been to the field on Oahu. Bunch of nice guys there. Thought there was a guy, member here, flying GS at the Marine Base now.

I watched some slope guys on the North Shore a couple of years ago. The wind was blowing 40+. They were having a lot of fun!

Any contacts would be appreciated. Hard to imagine, but Hawaii can get a little boring when your by yourself.

Yeah, we are going to Maui for 7 days on our honeymoon in November. Would love to hook up and check the flying sites out. I used to live on Maui and they flew off of an old crop duster paved field in between the sugar cane fields. Would love to sneek out while the wifey is baking on the beach. I wont have anything to fly but I am planning on taking my huge traction kite with me. Now if someone asks me to try out their sticks I will be more than happy to try them out. LOL

DA2000, The Kona R/C Flyers fly at the Old Kona Airport State Park only on Thursday and Sunday mornings between 7:00 and 11:00 am. Great group of guys and gals. If you take your T rex you’ll be right at home a lot of heli pilots.

check out the maui rc modelers. I flew there a couple years ago. Honestly the MOST beautiful flying site ive ever been to. be careful, Its hard to pay attention to the airplane.
