Hey Dgfick! As you know I have been running the financial/international side of Pacific Planes. Well, I just can't stay away from flying any longer. It is just to hard being around all of these awesome planes without having one up in the air myself. I fly on the sim about an hour a day and can succesfully land just about anything. I know the field is a little bit different but I am setting up a couple trainers to get out there and start learning. The controls are imbedded in my head by this point. Hopefully I can graduate to a Yak or Extra as quickly as time will let me. I am just looking for some people in the area that I could possibly go out and fly with since Rich is a couple hours away most of the time.

Parkville is just across town. Would you mind another willing pilot with a set of controls out there with you?

I know, I am addicted and I havn't even had one up in the air yet. It seems like I spend all of my time with Rich learning about the building process, structural support, mechanicals, loading, etc. Well, it's time to fly!

Harley,

Longview lake is right next to my Brother house and hillsdale lake is close to my house. I think I can see the planes flying at Stamm Field from my brother back portch. I haven't made it up there yet though.

I am just now starting to learn how to fly. I have been flying on Sim. G 3.5 over the winter but I just got a couple trainers and I am ready to take them out. I have all the controls down so I am hoping I am ready to let them rip. I don't know to many Pilots in Kansas City so I was looking for someone to take me out the first couple times and flying bud. Let me know if you are willing.

Well I skipped the trainer process. I met a couple guys out at Shawnee Mission and they thought a trainer was a waste of time after they saw me fly on the sim. My first flight was last week on a foamy jet. It was a blast. Right after I landed that I took a 68 inch Edge 540 for my first real flight and needless to say, I am hooked!!!! I just loaded a 52 inch Yak 54 today with a 56 glow engine. Taking it out this week when I get my transmitter back.
