I am going to miss the hell out of that bad a$$ plane. You will love it Mike! I am yet to see a person that has not liked it. People always come up to Darrell and marvel at it's beauty!

Got to put servos and batteries in it, should have it ready for the TOTS meet.

No low altitude deathslide with this one!
Now I can ALMOST believe the part about the deathslide, but never wanting nothing else?

Matt and I are planning on flying at the Pilot RC club field, at the airstrip just north of Zebulon, in the morning. We might leave, get lunch, then head over to the RDRC field in the afternoon.

Well I know the East R/C bunch will be out. I kinda assumed, it being labor day, that there would be a pretty big crowd out. I guess will see. I know my dad and Chris (Tweek and ScaleFreak) are flying with Jose over at the RAMS club today. But I felt like sleeping in for a change. Although this afternoon and tonight is Matt from RDRC's annual bash. There's gonna be a band, kegs, pig pickin', and LOTS of space for some Huckin'! I know we're gonna brake out Chris' profile Mojo.

Sunday, a few of us were invited over to RDRC member Matt Hutton's house for his big Labor Day Pig Pickin'. He wanted us to bring some planes to fly in his front yard to entertain his 75-100 guests. We were told that it was plenty big to even fly our 35% planes. Having never been there, we dragged a few trailers loads over. Well, it wasn't quite the space we expected. But Larry, Jay, Manny, and Chris managed to get a little flying in with some of the smaller glow planes and electrics (Jay even flew his Fusion!). Here's a few pics of the action. It was fun, but tight!

Hello RDRC,

Several of you folks have met my son Jeremy in past events. Go to Shreveporttimes.com
website, look for SHARKS BIG BIRD FUNFLY article and open 2 minute video from this weekend. You will see a Yak that looks alot like mine. Jeremy is flying into Raleigh for the TOTS funfly. Looking forward to spending some time with him and having a great time.

See ya there!!!

Jerry

OK guys, The Yak is almost done! Hope to test fly it Wed. 28lbs, with my carbon parts, it should shave a half pound off off that. WOW 1 1/2 lbs lighter than my Ultimate. SWEET!

Man, I hate to hear that Neal. You should have been with us over at Rocky Mount field....it's wide open out there. But man, it definitely is in the middle of nowhere. My cell phone was on Roaming, and the local store didn't take Visa! lol But I signed up for an associate membership anyway. I'm sure I'll be flyin' out there from time to time. I'd like to go to there fly-in this weekend, but I gotta run East R/C, and Chris and Dad will be at the mall show. But I'll definitely be at their Warbird fly-in on October 27th.
