Hey all you RDRC members!
You should be getting the e-mail message very soon, but I just wanted to jump in here and put the word out. We will be having a big get together dinner for ALL RDRC members AND their spouses. This is our chance to get together for the holiday saeson, and treat our wife's/ girl freinds to a nice dinner and great conversation. And no, it aint at the Golden Coral!
Josh Bunn has made arrangements for us to have a private room at Fargo's located in Zebulon. This is a nice place folks, and the food is awesome. The time and place?
December 16th, 7:30 pm. It's easy to get to. Just get off hwy 64 at hwy 96, turn right, then right back to the left into the Zebulon shopping center. Fargo's is located on the far end of the shopping center. We need to get a good idea of how many will attend, so please let us know asap.
Dress casual, and be prepared to talk about things other than airplanes! lol Come on guys,,,,we can do it for our sweet hearts! There will be NO BUSINESS TALK EITHER!!!!!
Just good food, good conversation, and a lot of smiles. Sure hope you all will make it out.

I'll have my replacement Vapor by then. Why talk about it WHEN YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Speaking of indoor flying, the fly-in at the Osborne Baptist Church in Eden is this Friday. Fred Midgett will be there to film and fly. Jeff Phillips also told me he wants to have a mass launch of Parkzone planes (Vapors, Embers, etc). We've had something like 9 in the air at once. Ya think 15 T-28s is something, wait until you have that many flying INSIDE.

Hope to see ya there.

Bob,

How long is the drive from Raleigh? I don't have an indoor plane flying but I might want to check it out.

From my house it is between 1.5 to 1.75 hours.

I might be able to squeeze you into the van if you want to ride along. Unfortunately, Matt won't be able to leave until around 6:00pm. But, they fly until after midnight sometimes, depends on how long you want to stay.

Just an update on the 2 EZ foam cutting party. Robert has ordered the needed tools and wire for cutting foam, and I have found a local source for the thicker blue foam. I'll try to purchase that in the next week or so. Our plans are to cut the foam into the correct size blocks, and break the cost up per block. These are awesome little planes to fly, and nearly impossible to destroy. I said NEARLY ! They use the same equipment most of our foamies are using now. i.e. servos, speed control, motor, battery. Imagine hitting the ground at 75 mph, watching it bounce a ways, and just picking it up, brush off the dust, and launch it again!!! I've seen it done! lol
