He actually already had the equipment to do it...video and weather. The problem is that it would require being on the ham band to get back to his tower and then blasted over the net, due to not having the ability for a LAN at the field. Building the equipment to get the data feed from the field to his tower is the next obstacle. The question is is the expense worth it?

What is the distance (LOS) between the field and the tower?

I helped with the setup and can advise.
YEAH, LIKE THAT!!!

We will definitely need two cams, one for the south end (3D) and one for the north end (warbirds).

Hey Joeraf,
Can you give the details of this setup? Who, what, where, and how much!
Thanks
Jim

Sure, we have a cheap computer permanently installed at the field. Internet connection is through Hughesnet satellite because we are fairly remote. The cameras are generic all weather lipsticks running on Image Salsa software. The weather station is a Davis Vantage Pro2 and interfaces with the computer using their software.
As for costs, the weather station and software $700, computer $400, satellite $300 purchase price and $60 per month, cameras $30 each.

How about 3 cams, the 2 you mentioned and another for those who fly behind the flight line
