Yep, got a second-hand giant big stick with a converted royobi weed whacker engine. Turning a master airscrew prop, atlas servos, 27 mhz pro-line radio, not sure what mode. You want to test fly it for me Larry?

Proline!? Hey, I can handle that. Owned four of them!

Master Airscrew. Hmmm. Might work better with one of the old Top Flight white nylon props.

I'm safe. We get rocket or moarter attacks at least once every two weeks.(usually more) This one(21Jun09) made the news because several folks died. Acually, we got really lucky with this one.... 35% of the time, they don't explode, thanks to old unreliable Soviet era ammo. Besides, they aren't accurate at all....

Alot of times those "unaccurate" ones are the ones that hit in the worst spots.

and the intrepid Gecko drove off into the rising sun...fought crazy mad metal dragons on the highway, found roads never travelled by Geckokind before , to end up in...the AMA flying foeld...with 35mph winds roaring across the grass!!!

For those who have not been here, this place is AWESOME!!! apart from teh 35mph winds that is...practise is ongoing but fighting the winds seems to be the main topic of converstaion here...pictures will follow as I get time to post them
