FYI, it is not Ford anymore, it is Kia. (Was Bostrom Ford for a long time, then Wakefield Ford for a short time.

So, when are you going to start parking on the other end of the field?

Hey All,

I just received a call from Jeff Holsinger, who is one of the organizers for the "Dayton Ohio Giants Scalers (D.O.G.S.)" giant-scale fly-in at the Air Force Museum on Sept. 4-6, which several of us had been planning to attend this year. It's awesome...we fly on a BIG old runway on Wright Patterson Air Force Base with the museum in the backgound, have a private tour of the museum, and fly in front of literally hundreds of spectators!

Anyway, he said that they have a block of rooms reserved on the base in the "Hope Hotel" (as in Bob Hope) for $70/night (double). You have to mention the event for this rate.

Hope Hotel & Conference Center, Bldg. 823, Area A, WPAFB, OH 45433-5000 • P: 937.879.2696

There are only 20 rooms blocked at this rate and you can go to their website at www.hopehotel.com for more info.

I know Larry and I were planning to go. And I think Jay Ingle was also showing interst. Mark your calenders since this is an awesome place to fly and the museum alone is worth the trip! I just reserved two double rooms.......

Default Any Ideas?

Hello, thought I would ask the circus if anyone has an idea(s) on how I could cover this bi-plane. I took it down from the attic about a week ago and stripped all the mono covering off. I bought it about 20 years ago from a guy in Tucson, flew a few times and put it away. As far a I know, it's one of a kind. It has no wing struts, the bottom wing bolts to the fuse and the top to the wire harness. I plan on putting a .90 or 1.20 four stroke on it. This is really a sharp looking plane and as I remember it flew well. Just looking for a color scheme? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

That is an old Great Planes Aero Master kit.

You can get a few different cowls and wheel pants from fiberglass speciaties.
