It is on the corner of 1 and 1A, right side heading north on 1, just after the Ford Dealership. If you go past the Nissan Dealership you went too far.

See ya all there...

My first guess was an Aeromaster. But, if you bought it 20 years ago, it was probably not a Great Planes kit, it may have still been an original Andrews kit. I'm not sure when Great Planes acquired the Andrews line.

That was (is) a great airplane. I don't know about the GP kit, but the Andrews kit could be built several different ways. Long wings, short wings, Long top wing and short bottom wing, and I think even a straight or swept bottom wing. Great flying plane!

Lots of ideas on how to prep the wood. Get all the old covering off, use acetone to get the old covering adhesive off. Use K2R spot remover and a heat gun to get all the old fuel/oil residue out of the wood. I would use the thin Balsarite around the firewall and about an inch behind to give the film a good surface to stick to. Use some light spackling compound to smooth any rough areas (use sparingly!).

Let us know how it goes.
I think it might be an Andrews kit. Both wings are swept w/ailerons on bottom only controlled by a single servo in the midpoint. Thanks for the advise! Covering process should begin within a week

Larry, what size Dubro's do you need?? I have a brand new set of 5" treaded lightweights here, they are for my 41% Python but it will be at least a year until I need them. I can bring them along tomorrow, just let me know. I got mine from TNT Landing gear, he always has a good selection of Dubro's and Skylites in stock.

Thanks for the offer Wes,
Its the 4 1/2" wheels that I need. I have a set of the Hanger 9's on i now, but theyre wayyyy too soft and flat spot quickly. I have a raggity set of 4 1/2"s from my other Yak that I will put on for now. They look like crap, but they'll work much better.
