We had a great time at RDRC today despite the chilly weather! Here are a few pixs. Glen

WOW, What a day. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard... Another great event on the NC RC circuit! Thanks to Josh Bunn for doing a great job as CD. The weather was not the best, but turned out to be a great day for flying. It seemed like everybody was doing their best to have fun, whether it was huckin on the deck, zoom and boom, or cornhole....

I still can't believe the Do-Rag won, yet another, engine.... Do-Rag, you better start playing the lottery! Then the T-28 "formation flying" took things to a level that I had not seen yet. I don't know how I kept flying, I was laughing so hard. To top off a great day, the after supper combat was funny as heck. (Larry, you won't have to guess who's gonna put "HIT ME" on your T-28....lol, just kidding)

I'm out of words, and still laughing from destroying my foamie.... Here's some pics from today that I hope will describe the action.

Yep, the Fall IMAA Fly-In at RDRC yesterday was a blast! Even though it was a bit chilly and breezy, 46 pilots kept them in the air all day. Your pics captured a bunch of the cool planes, action, people, and laughs. Thanks for posting them, guys! Oh yeah, with Michael's "bean bag" game, the sausage dogs from the concession, and the Fall temperatures, this seemed like a warmup for the NC State Fair that's in town!

And 50%, sorry about your brand new foamy! When I yelled to Larry "Hey, make sure you don't hit Fiddy's new foamy" I actually meant it. But Larry was so used to our code words when flying a T-28 that his instincts took over and he rammed you. We were all weak from laughing, especially when you finished off your foamy yourself!

Thanks to everyone for coming and to Josh, Larry, and all the RDRC members for whipping everything together for us. More fun times at RDRC........

Thanks for the great pics posted from yesterday, I'm adding them to the RDRC website for the first "dry" IMAA event in some time. Looks like Josh finally got a break on the wx. It sure was a great day!

I've been working on the RDRC website a bit more. You can now get to a bunch of weather data from the field via a number of ways... You can go to www.rd-rc.org , and click on [- RDRC WX] on the LH menu or click on the "For more data, click HERE" link above the weather dials. You can also get to it from www.rdrc.tv . Anyway, once you get to the new weather data page, you'll find a number of links to various interesting plots and bits of info. I was able to bring the annual & month-to-date rainfall values current, though I haven't figured out how to edit previous months' databases.

The weather dials are now animated to show data captured over the last few minutes. The basic data updates once/minute, but the dials will show the captured data from the last 5 minutes.

Wow..the wind has been HONKIN' out at the field this morning! While working on the code, I saw a few spurts of wind at 25 mph!

A foamie that took that long to "color" had to be finished off in style! LOL

Larry, how many planes has your "killer" T-28 taken out so far??

Time to start building my Combat foamie for the next event! lol

One question though, should I add a pirate hat????

Training for the future.... These here big planes are dangerous I tell ya, nothing good will come of them.... I don't see why anybody needs anything bigger than a .60 size..... 3D ain't flyin', it should be banned, if I ran this club....
