"Hello to the Circus" from ham radio...

For those into Ham Radio... this morning, while playing around on the Ham Radio (couldn't sleep again), I stumbled across a R/C Flyers net on the 75m ham band. I knew there was one of these "on the air" discussion groups, but couldn't find it. I ran into Fred in the Goldsboro club some years ago, and he told me about it, but I forgot it was him who told me... oh well, I'll blame it on getting old and such, heheheh.

I checked into the net and talked to RC Flyers over several states. When I introduced myself, guys from W.Va, Va, NC, SC, and Fla asked about the club, sent "hello's" to Larry, Robert and the Circus, and were very familiar with the FFT. Pretty neat.

This group is active at 6am daily, until everyone has to go to work and such. Those of you with shortwave receivers can tune this in on 3.933 mhz. Those of you who are into ham radio can access it directly. Since I'm in the home office most every morning at that time, I'll pump the audio from the R/C Flyers Net out onto RDRC.TV Page. I've added a new player area on the main page at RDRC.TV below the various camera choices labeled as [Audio Only]. I've also added the player to the two cam pages where all cams are displayed at once.

During times when the discussion group isn't active, I'll have it transmitting random audio from the ham radio. I hope y'all enjoy this, it's just something else for you to play with :-)

Dave

Thanks for the3 info, Dave! I had heard of a net for RC as well, but I thought it was on 40, and had been looking for it there.

I will have to check in one morning!

I came across this interesting article on the Boeing "Blended Wing-Body, BWB" test aircraft (officially called the X-48B) that I thought you guys might find fascinating. It's being tested at NASA Dryden. You may recognize the engines - JetCat P-200! I have one sitting in my shop...hmmmm.

Robert,
Are those refueling probes on the front? Is that a new twist on yours and Larry's refueling by pulling the can around with the plane?
