Just thought I'd let everyone know who might be interested that I've uploaded the latest Excel files on my little website. I think the total Clubs captured to date now is 1075. Some of the threads about posting pics or sat images of your clubs has helped me find a few new ones ![]() Thank you all and enjoy if you want.

Hi Gang - Just thought I'd let you all know once again that I've updated the Excel RC Field Coordinate files on my little website if anyone is interested. I think there are now a total of around 1125 RC Club Runways zeroed in on by Latitude and Longitude. Also has many other fields of info. If anyone needs the link to the site here it is and hope it helps and you can enjoy it: http://groups.msn.com/PuttsRCHomePage/ Now that I've been to the last scheduled Fly In for our area, I hope to be able to get together with Max and the FG crew and maybe present this in a cool FG way Hope you all have taken a few minutes our of your busy schedules and taken a moment to remember all of those who perished on this day 5 years ago.

Well I guess it's time to post once again that the RC Field Database I've created has been updated and I now have a total of 1210 RC Clubs Runways located dead center . This time I actually concentrated on verifying as many of the coordinates as I could using Google Earth (about 95% now have high res sat imagery). I had to move a total of about 12 of them, but none of them very far. I have also been e-mailed the location of quite a few new ones as well as finding some on my own via websites. I would also like to thank all of those flyers from around the WORLD who have sent me locations. My Foreign file is growing pretty quickly .If you check the post above you can get the link to my little website, once in, go to Documents and you'll see the folder that contains the Excel files (broke out by AMA Dist's). I think I've mentioned this once before, but if you really like a cool sat image program, try Google Earth. It's a free download. As well as maintaining the data in my Excel file, I have also created a file in Google Earth that has them all listed by AMA Dist Folder, Non-AMA, and Foreign (to the USA). Only has closest town and state info though, not the full blown database info package. Here is the link to my file on Google Earth just in case you want to see it. (for what it's worth the Google Map link at the site I don't like. the file is to large to allow the program to open it completly up). http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/showthrea...r/402368/page/

wow, this is a very cool idea. I was wondering if anyone had LAT-LON for RC fields a while back. When I fly cross country from show sights, I always keep an eye out for Rc fields and will sometimes make a pass if anyone is there. I know a few of you guys out there have seen me do a fly by or two. Now that I can get the info I need to locate, maybe I'll get to a few more RC fields in 07'. Thanks for all the time and efforts on this one! MC |

Hi Matt - Happy you found it and can use it in one of the ways I intended. If you ever want want a copy of what I call the Master File let me know and I can e-mail it to you (that goes for everyone). It prevents the need to download each AMA Dist file by itself. One of the neat things is the ability to upload the file into programs such as MSN's Streets and Trips and plan a trip with it. Just remember that if anyone ever finds a Field that's not on my map, take a quick shot of it and let me know where it is and I'll add it. Kind of like stickig one of those little push pins on the map board you find on vacations every once and awhile. Matt, if you catch the Coordinates for Gillette Wyoming and the Sagehoppers R/C Club and ever get in the area let us know, and we'll be out with our camera's ready. Of course if you need a pit stop and some fuel, we'd always be happy to come out to the airport and pick you up and let you wiggle the sticks at our field ![]() Once again, Merry Christmas to Everyone and Enjoy Family and Friends. Even better if you can get to the Field for a little FLYING !!!

Hey Gregg, I've said before how cool this is, repeating it wouldn't be going overboard, would it? I will have a new field for you soon, as soon as we get our AMA sanction, paperwork is pending. I will get the coordinates when I get back after my Christmas vacation. The new field is in Del Rio, TX., and is about 70 ft. x 1000+ ft., and was just completed by our group. I believe we have decided on the Del Rio Dirt Flyers as our club name, still deciding on a name for the field. Talk to you soon,

Hi Ken - Was wondering how your Christmas vacation was and if by any chance you had any info for me on the Del Rio club Kind of cool, I got hooked up with a guy from the Netherlands who had the same idea I did (although he's only been at it about 2 years). He gave me coordinates and some info for about 90 clubs spread out across the Netherlands and Belgium, so my Foreign RC page is growning as well now. With his 90 I'll have around 150 Clubs outside of the Lower 48 I think the Google Earth file has been downloaded over 1400 times now. I'll let you all know when I post another major update to the files and Thanks Again for everyones help and support.Later Gregg P

Hi Guys - Well, I've added a few Fields to the database here in the Lower 48, and I think I'm up around 1170 Club Locations. With a bunch of help from a few new friends I have added a bunch of RC Field Locations to my International Folder. I now have a bunch located in the Netherlands and Belgium as well as WHOLE BUNCH from our friends from Down Under in 'Oz'. I actually added 37 in the last two days located in the Victoria and New South Wales area as well as a handful scattered across the rest that wide Country. I haven't had a chance to update all of the Excel files on my RC Website, but I did update the Google Earth file located at http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/showthrea...r/402368/page/ today (03-02-07). There are now over 1410 total RC Fields located Internationally now
