Where do you plan to live? It's a big area with many fields.

Not too far from Euless is GSW, that's at 820 and Randoll Mill Rd. There's also the club in Grapevine, Texas Wings is out west, Lake Dallas Falcons field, and there is a new field being constructed in Tropy Club. The biggest club in the area is North Dallas R/C Club, but their field is a long way out for you.

Contact me when you get to town, we'll talk.

Hi McCarty - You might try this link as well. It's Bill Lee's AMA Club Locator. Just plug in a zip code or city name and state and it will give you all the fields with in whatever radius you choose. I punched in Euless and 25 miles and came up with about 20 Clubs. If you see anything like this in the results - Link to GPS and Aerial Photos , this is some of my data and will actually show you that Club's runway using either Google or Terraserver. Hope this helps a little - http://www.ama-dist-8.org/Clubs/Locator.php I also have elevation data, coordinates in Lat Lon and runway surface types.

I dont' know what I did, but I deleted my first Reply

Hi McCarty - If you want another source to search for Club's in that area try this link - http://www.ama-dist-8.org/Clubs/Locator.php . It's Bill Lee's AMA Club Locator. I typed in Euless (?) and came up with about 20 Club's in a 25 mile radius. If you see anything that looks like this in the results - "Link to GPS and Aerial Photos" , this is some of my data that Bill is letting me piggy back onto the back of his. Mine will actually show you the true location of the Club's runway's, coordinates, elevations, and even runway surface types. I hope this helps a little and that you find a couple of clubs to go and fly at.

EDIT - and know that I have re-typed and posted what I thought was gone, I now see it above this one, so please just disregard one or the other

the best field in Fort Worth is T-Bird Field in Benbrook..20 minute or so drive for you from "Useless..er i mean Euless"...runway is like hugenormous and concrete and on a pretty nice lake...a lot of 3D wannabe types like me fly there...i think the runway is like 60 X 800 or something ridiculous...

you can come and fly my stuff if you want..you probably a lot better than me anyways..!

that GSW field is on a landfill..is grass (yuck) and has a freakin huge ass gully at the end of the runway and a big ass radio tower about 200 feet from it that i have NEVER trusted being near...i would most definately find another place to fly..either up north with Tom or over in fort worth with us...

When you leaving? Are you coming over to Taylor. When I was in Dallas I went out to the MERC field it was nice but for the larger birds there is a risk of being over some houses and if you fly a large pattern near the highway.
